Nowlan + Associates DesignStudio focuses on creative, collaborative, and timeless architecture. The process is driven by the strong relationships with our clients and builders, and built on sound design and open communication. Founded in 2011 by Richard Nowlan, and located in vibrant Inglewood.

Richard Nowlan brings his previous 11 year experience as principal and partner at Placeworks Design, as well as 3 years working at the award winning Chicago firms David Woodhouse Architects and Wheeler Kearns Architects. Experience in public and residential projects has developed his design process into one driven by the human scale, sustainability, and client interaction. Having built a house for his young family, Richard has a patient empathy for his clients and builders.
